Dermal Fillers

Dermal filler is a gel-like substance that is injected into areas of the face to restore or add volume. They are made of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in our skin. Hyaluronic acid binds to water in your skin and this can help to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and add volume to your skin, giving very natural results.

As we age, volume is lost in certain areas such as the cheeks and lips and therefore dermal fillers can be used to restore this lost volume and give a healthy appearance to the skin.

Dermal fillers are temporary and depending on the area being treated and the product used, results can last anywhere between 6 and 18 months. Over time, your body breaks down the filler naturally, so many people like to have 'top ups'. Fillers can also be dissolved by a product called Hyaluronidase in the event of an emergency or for an elective dissolve.
